Bright Beginning! Make Money Online – Aldian Prakoso

Article Marketing : Submit Your Article vs. Article Marketer

As you, Internet marketers, are aware, article marketing plays important a major role in our online business. article marketing gives you:

  • One-way back linking.
  • Higher ranking in search engine results.
  • Branding of your name, product or service.
  • Free web traffic.
  • And some other advantages.

The the only down side of article marketing is its manual submission to many major article directories surely takes a lot of time. Therefore I’ve been using article submission service to automatically submit my articles and save my time.

For the last couple months I’ve been using Submit Your Article (SubmitYourArticle.com) for submitting articles of my several niches.

I get these results from article marketing (directly and indirectly):

  1. I have about 20,000 Google references for my name, “Aldian Prakoso”.
  2. I have about 695 back links for my blog.
  3. One of my blog posts has the first Google search ranking for long tail keyword, how to get traffic to brand new site, beating 9,170,000 competitors.

So I’m quite happy with SubmitYourArticle.com but I’m looking for better service (SubmitYourArticle.com only allows submission of up to 8 articles each month. It’s not enough for me for my several niches).

Recently I came across another article submission service, ArticleMarketer.com, that I have yet to try.

Let’s compare these two, SubmitYourArticle.com versus ArticleMarketer.com.

SubmitYourArticle.com

  • Cost: $37 per month.
  • Article submission quota: 8 articles per month.
  • Article directories: included but not limited to ArticlesFactory.com (PR7), EzineArticles.com (PR6), ArticleAlley.com (PR5), GoArticles.com (PR5), SearchWap.com (PR5).
  • Article submission time frame: within one business day for each article (if you submit more than one article in one day, your articles will be queued and submitted to article directories on the following days).
  • Money back guarantee: 30 days.
  • affiliate commission: 35% ($12.95) for the first tier (you direct referral), and 14% ($5.18) for the second tier (referral from someone that you’ve previously referred), paid through PayPal.

ArticleMarketer.com

  • Cost: It offer choices of
    • $79.99 per 3-month (average $26.66 per month).
    • $199.99 per year, and for a limited time your second year is free (average $8.33 per month).
    • $499.99 for life time.
  • Article submission quota: unlimited.
  • Article categories: one required category and two optional categories, each with optional sub-category. This dramatically increases the distribution of your each article.
  • affiliate commission: 50% for the first tier, and 5% for the second tier, paid through PayPal.
  • Miscellaneous: article auto pilot. You can submit your articles up to a year in advance by setting up the distribution time (do not distribute before, and/or do not distribute after).

Seeing this comparison, ArticleMarketer.com seems much better cost wise and feature wise. Its article auto pilot surely appeals to me. So I’ll give it a try. How about you?

I use Article Market, other services, and do manual submissions. AM is definitely a powerful submission tool – about the best there is, though they are all messed up right now. They haven’t distributed articles for over two weeks now.

    Hi Adam,

Thank you for sharing your experience. Ouch, it sucks to have your articles not distributed for more than 2 weeks.

I’ll still give a try though since it has 30-day money back guarantee.

SYA with only 8 articles per month is not enough for me ;)

Pretty impressive results. I’ve used Artemis Pro to submit articles, but haven’t done this in a while.

    Articlemarketer is a complete SCAM!!!

I signed up for it after reading about it on this website, paid $199 for an annual subscription, and cannot send a SINGLE article with it!

The reason is that their system requires me to confirm my email but it cannot be received. Their FAQ talks about spam filters but I have triple checked this and used two different email addresses. It is their system.

Now you’d think after paying $199 I’d be able to get some support right? WRONG! I have sent multiple tickets to their helpdesk over the last 4-5 days and have had no response. They have no contact telephone number.

My advice? STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM ARTICLEMARKETER. THEY WILL HAPPILY TAKE YOUR MONEY BUT NOT PROVIDE YOU WITH ANY SERVICE.

That’s rather unpleasant experience, Nathan… I’ll make a note of it.

    Hi Aldian,

    long time no see :-)

I signed up with articlemarketer a few days ago and right now I’m not impressed. I will test it thoroughly because if it works it saves tons of time.

But here’s what I don’t like so far:
    - support sucks, I did not get any answer to my emails and support tickets.
    - After they submitted my first article I received roundabout 40 delivery failure mails. That makes me think that there submission list is not well maintained.
    - They should have created accounts to all the submission sites. Yet when I try to find my account at ezinearticles.com there is none. But maybe it takes a few days.

So far the things I don’t like. But I will test in more detail. I hope you do too and I’m looking forward to what you think about it.

    Best,
    Ralf Skirr

I have just signed up for the free version of AM. I hope it is better than what Ralf Skirr said. Perhaps it was just slow over the Xmas/New Year period…

I used to submit my articles to AM. However, I now do manual submissions to http://www.aritlcemound.com.

I found AM to be OK, but I decided that I would prefer to have full control over who has my articles.

If you want to have full control over your article distribution, you can try SubmitYourArticle.com. You can choose which article directories you want to submit your articles to.

Nice review.I just started using Submityourarticle.com a while back and so far I´m happy with the results. The article leverage function is extremely useful when it submits a unique version of your article to the directories.I think 8 articles per month is quite enough, many sites will not accept an article from the same author many times per week.Personally, I submit 4-5 articles per month.

    Hello Aldian,

I just found your blog on the search engines while searching for a review on submityourarticle.com

    Thanks for your review.

I’ve been trying to start article marketing for months now.

It’s a shame how many submission softwares hype up their sales letters and make you forget you have to sign up to all those directories before you can post articles.

It’s sad submityourarticle.com only submit 8 articles per month.

    YNice blog anyway.

I enrolled with articlemarketer.com end January 2008 for the quarterly service ($US 49.99 at the time). They definitely promote their services very well, but did not deliver as well. In fact, I was convinced that they are a scam.

When they eventually approved the article (which was written by their experts for me), it was sent out to +- 140 websites only after about two weeks, very far from the 5000 that was promised. Their was no indication of how long it would take them to submit to the directories. My category for this article was in the “work from home” / “make money”, yet they couldn’t find many sites to submit it to. They also submitted it to several totally irrelevant sites and several sites that don’t exist any more.

Their support response is poor, one wouldn’t say there are real people answering emails. After this bad experience I immediately cancelled my subscription. There is also no money back guarantee.

It would be much better to spend your time on the actual articles and submitting it to the top 5 directories manually or with software you get. If you think of promoting this site because their affiliate program pays well, think again!

i come here with keyword “articlemarketer is scam” , actualy i have good experience with other service with just spend small money, not submityourarticle but i use isnare.com as my article distribution service, good support, really work.

you can try with 5 article distribution credit for only $10 dollar, platinum account for unlimited article distribution credit for 1 month,or you can get it free if you become referral and people buy article distributin credit from your link, i want to try platinum account but i am not good to write article.

different is if you not buy platinum account you can not put your link in body of article, but you can still link in authors section.

    Hello Aldian

Congratulations on a great looking blog.

I run the SubmitYOURArticle.com site, and while I completely respect your reasoning that the quota we have in place of 8 articles/month is not enough for your own purposes, I just wanted to comment as to our reasoning on that, as it may prove useful to some people.

I’m sure you’d agree that the integrity of our distribution network is essential if our users are going to continue experiencing success with our system, and the quota we put in place is there to protect that – basically to protect the benefits our users experience.

Were we to ‘open the floodgates’ and allow unlimited submissions, there would no doubt be some members submitting dozens of articles at a time, if not hundreds in a single month, and this would have a double hit on our distribution network:

    - Many publishers in our network, especially those currently receiving articles via email, would feel inundated with articles from specific authors, it would make their job a lot harder in approving articles for publication or searching for suitable articles they want to use, and would likely request immediate removal, or simply start blocking submissions from us en masse.

    - It is likely, in my experience, that the quality of the articles we distribute would take a serious nose-dive, and again discourage existing publishers in our distribution network from staying with us. Generally speaking – and this certainly doesn’t apply to your own articles – we have found the higher the quantity of articles from an author, the lower their quality, probably because some resort to using ghost writers etc. to write dozens at a time, so you can see what impact this would have on our distribution network.

Our interests are therefore in protecting the benefits for our members, by respecting the needs of our publishers.

We have also found that results tend to be better for article marketing if you reduce the quantity but increase the quality – they are more likely to be picked up by ezine editors, for instance, which can send a flood of traffic your way. A single high-quality well-crafted article is worth a dozen or more low quality cookie-cutter type articles.

For example, we have some top internet marketers using our service, and they tend to only submit 1 or 2 articles a month that they have personally written containing some top-notch advice and information.

For those interested, more information on all of this can be found at:
    http://www.squidoo.com/submit_article#module10073718

Also, we have many users of our service who, like yourself, want to submit articles for different niches, and they simply have different accounts with us under different pen names in order to achieve that.

I hope this info will help your readers, and I’d be interested as to your comments on the above.

    Kind regards

    Steve

I’ve been kicking around the idea of using either Article Marketer or the SubmitYourArticle services, so it’s really nice to see that the owner of one of the services in questions has been good enough to post some insight as to why there are certain limitations on the services offered. It’s great to get insider information on the reasoning for why things are managed the way they are behind the scenes. Thank you Mr. Shaw for taking the time to provide such a information post.
