Buzz!
In any business, including Internet marketing, buzz is very important. Here are two example of bizzare buzz creation.
- This one comedian and film maker, Mark Malkoff, really thinks out of the box to create a buzz!
He moves in to an Ikea store when his apartment is being fumigated for cockroaches. His life there is documented by a camera crew who follows him every where.
Although it’s very spacious there, he has one problem, nothing is real in Ikea! The sinks don’t work, and neither does the toilet, refrigerator, flat-screen television or the washer and dryer. He must shower in the staff locker room and cook his own meal at the the staff cafeteria.
You can watch his movie at his site, MarkLivesInIkea.com, which is strategically equipped with his Facebook and MySpace’s link.
-
I also notice another bizzare buzz creation by Burger King. Burger King did an experiment to discontinue Whopper and documented all of their Whopper lovers’ reaction!
Yes, their official site, WhopperFreakOut.com shows the video, as well as the option to embed and send the video.
Do you have other example of buzz creation that’s really out of the box? Let’s share it with all of us!

There on the top right…that has to be the biggest ad we’ve ever seen on a blog!

From what I’ve heard the Burger King experiment kind of backfired on them. I heard the people who were “experimented” on were pretty upset. I think the commercials are hilarious. But, then again the whopper hasn’t been the whopper in a very long time. I remember back in the day when a whopper was a whopper, and it was huge. Now it’s a sad parody of what it once was.

It was funny, but I liked their Subservient Chicken better

The Burger King one was so too funny. I thought for sure those patrons were going to jump the counter and kick some butts. LOL

Is that so?? Well, I think I’ll be applying them one of these days. Thanks. Let’s see if this would be helpful to me.
