Well, I think it’s good that they destroy the old cars and get them out of circulation. It’ll save gasoline and reduce pollution and CO2 emissions because the older engines burned fuel less efficiently. If we want to help the poor be able to buy more affordable cars, then why doesn’t The Market simply lower the price of ALL cars and help everybody out across the board? Why doesn’t the Auto Industry MAKE new, smaller, more fuel-efficient, hybrid or all-electric cars that people will WANT to buy?
