I stumbled into this blog, 52 Ways To Monetize Your Photos. Unfortunately many of these ways are not practical but they can still give you some creative ideas to monetize your digital photos.

• Sign up for an autoresponder
• Create a squeeze page
• Create a series of emails
• Rinse and repeat

You can make a LOT of money doing this…don’t get me wrong. But you can make a lot more if you start harnessing offline marketing in your business.

Coincidentally, the owner of this particular blog is a member of a same forum that I’m a member of so I told her about this problem. She didn’t know why this problem occurred so she contacted her web hosting and it took another day to have the problem resolved. In total, her blog couldn’t be accessed for almost 3 days.

Imagine how many visitors were lost? How many possible RSS feed subscribers were lost? How many possible new loyal readers were lost? You know what I mean, don’t you? You can lose possible prospects because of some accidentally errors! How much money do you lose?

Fortunately you can turn these error pages into money making machines.

By default, these are the common errors and their corresponding messages:

• 400 Bad Request: Invalid request.
  The default page that handles this error is name 400.shtml.
• 401 Authorization required: Invalid login credentials?
  The default page that handles this error is name 401.shtml.This happens when someone try to access a password protected page or folder but he doesn’t input the correct username or password.
• 403 Permission Denied: You do not have permission for this request.
  The default page that handles this error is name 403.shtml.This happens when you set the wrong permission for your pages or folders. For example you use CHMOD 644 when you should use CHMOD 755.
• 404 Not Found: The requested URL does not exist.
  The default page that handles this error is name 404.shtml.This is the most common error. Mostly happens because your visitor types the wrong URL or made a typo.
• 500 Server Error: A misconfiguration on the server caused a hiccup. Check the server logs, fix the problem then try again.
  The default page that handles this error is name 500.shtml.This can happen due to a wrong htaccess configuration or bugs in the program scripts (such as WordPress plugins).

Any of these errors may happen and you’re just not aware of it… but you can make money with these error pages instead of losing prospects!

Here’s how: customize your default error pages into money making pages. For example:

• Opt-in page, or
• One Time Offer, or
• Recommended resources page, or
• Redirect it into your other site.

If you don’t know how to do it, here’s a simple guide to do it.

Change the content of each page that handles this particular error, namely 400.shtml, 401.shtml, 403.shtml, 404.shtml, and 500.shtml.

• If your web hosting has cpanel, you’re in luck. You can easily accomplish this by going to “Error pages” in your cpanel.

  

  In the “Error pages” menu, click each of this error numbers (400, 401, and so on), and modify each of them with your custom error page.

  

• If you use BestHostGator.com as your web hosting, there’s a much simpler way to customize your error pages Simply add these lines of code into your .htaccess file to redirect them into your customized error pages:
  

  ErrorDocument 400 http://yourdomain.com/customerrorpage1.html
  ErrorDocument 401 http://yourdomain.com/customerrorpage2.html
  ErrorDocument 403 http://yourdomain.com/customerrorpage3.html
  ErrorDocument 404 http://yourdomain.com/customerrorpage4.html
  ErrorDocument 500 http://yourdomain.com/customerrorpage5.html

  Where http://yourdomain.com/customerrorpage.html is the URL of your custom error page.

• If you use BlueWebHost.biz as your web hosting, you can make different custom error pages for each of your domain that you host there so that your custom pages are more targeted.
  
  Just create your own 400.shtml, 401.shtml, 403.shtml, 404.shtml, and 500.shtml for each of your domain, then upload them into their corresponding domain folder in your BlueWebHost.biz web hosting.

Note: to change your WordPress default error 404, modify the “404.php” page of your WordPress blog theme.

So now how to monetize your RSS feeds?

1. AdSense for Feeds
   This is its definition according to Google:

   We’re currently beta testing AdSense for feeds, a program that allows you to monetize your feeds through contextually targeted advertising.

   AdSense for feeds works the way the rest of the AdSense program works, delivering ads that are so relevant to the content that readers find them useful. And when people click on these ads, Google pays you.

   Please be aware that our beta test of AdSense for feeds is full and we are not accepting applications at this time. If you’re interested in participating in AdSense for feeds in the future, please check back here for updates.

   Unfortunately it’s still in beta testing and Google no longer accepts beta tester.

2. Feedvertising
   While AdSense for feeds is not available, you monetize your feeds using Feedvertising:

   Feedvertising is TLA’s RSS technology that you can use for free for your own personal use or you can opt into our marketplace to monetize your RSS feeds. We currently support only WordPress blogs with our RSS technology, but will be adding more platforms soon.

   Sign up to Feedvertising to make money with your feeds.

That’s how I optimize my RSS feeds to build my list and make money. How do you optimize yours?

Then I found it! And the good news is, you don’t even need to have a website! How cool is that?

And you can too in these simple steps! I’ll share the steps to you FREE! Drum roll….

1. Create Your Free PayPal Account

   This is obviously your first step since PayPal enables you to receive payments online instantly and securely. Click here to create your free PayPal account.

   I’d personally recommend the PayPal business account which gives you the most flexibility when accepting payments online.

2. Create Your Free Agloco Account

   Agloco is a global community that is owned by its members, and here’s why you must join Agloco:

3. Create Your Free MySpace Account

   MySpace is the biggest social network site in the world with more than 180 millions members! Now let’s click here to create your MySpace account.

   Once you have your MySpace account and profile created, your main goal is to get as many people to add you as a friend as possible. To do this smoothly, you must consider these:

   • Many people who you submit a friend request to will visit your MySpace profile to decide if they will accept your friend invitation.
   • You need to make sure you set up your profile as inviting as possible.
   • Just be yourself in your profile but avoid adding things that may turn people off such political or religious statements.
   • You want to appeal to a wide group of people with your profile when you are adding friends so write your “About Me” properly.

4. Promoting and Marketing Agloco in MySpace

   Now that you have your PayPal and MySpace accounts all set, you can start promoting and marketing on MySpace

   You must consider MySpace’s terms of service that MySpace is for non-commercial use by members. Currently their terms of service is as follow:

   The MySpace Services are for the personal use of Members only and may not be used in connection with any commercial endeavors except those that are specifically endorsed or approved by MySpace.com… Commercial advertisements, affiliate links, and other forms of solicitation may be removed from Member profiles without notice and may result in termination of Membership privileges.

   This means that you’re not supposed to promote products or service in MySpace. If you do, MySpace has the right to remove the advertisement from your page and possibly delete your account.

   However, if you browse MySpace, you see many people promoting stuffs in MySpace. As long as you use common sense, be considerate and do not spam people with your promotion, you should be fine. After all there’s nothing wrong in introducing your website to your friends, is it?

   Now let’s start your promotion and marketing in MySpace:

   • Adding New Friends

     In MySpace, friends are people who’ve accepted your friend request. The more friends you have, the bigger your network to promote products or services, and you make more money. So the key here is to have as many friends as possible by you diligently requesting new friends as many as possible daily.

     Now, you can request friends manually (and believe me, it takes a lot of time and effort), or use a great tool to help automate the process. I personally use this great tool, MySpace Friend Magic, and I recommend you to use it as well to help you having a lot of friends in the shortest time.

     Simply visit MySpace Friend Magic’s website and download its free trial version to see if this is a tool you’d like to invest in. And I strongly recommend you to use this tool to save you a lot of time and effort!

   • Posting Comments in MySpace

     Now that you have a lot of friends, you want to introduce them to Agloco. You want to make them aware of Agloco.

     One of the best way to do it is by posting comments on their pages, and here are the correct ways to post comments:

     • Leave a personal comment for your friend such as by including his or her name in your comment.
     • Be genuine and let him know that you read his profile.
     • You can leave a signature with your own Agloco referral URL at the end of your comment.

     These kind of comment have a better chance to be clicked on because it’s not an obvious advertisement.

     It’s really a human nature to pass right by something that looks like an ad. But if you represent yourself as a real person in your comment, people will pay more attention to your comment.

   • Accepting Friend Request
     After you have many friends, people will also request you to be their friends. It’s very good, isn’t it? The more friends you have, the more people who will request you to be their friends.

     You definitely want to accept their friend requests. And why don’t you promote Agloco by posting comments at their pages at the same time. I use MySpace Friend Magic to do this automatically. I accept their friend requests and post comments at their pages with just 2 mouse clicks!

   • Posting Bulletins in MySpace
     Another great way to promote Agloco in MySpace is to use bulletins. Bulletins work very well because all of your friends will see your bulletin in their list of current bulletins on their home page.

     You must write creatively with compelling subject lines for your bulletins to be successful. The better your subject line is, the more of your friends click your bulletins.

     Here’s a shortcut to make great bulletins:

     • Imitate the bulletins that you yourself click.
     • Why do you click them?
     • Make your bulletins interesting and creative.
     • Make your friends look forward to your bulletins.

     I use MySpace Friend Magic to post bulletins automatically. I even pre-write many bulletins and set them up to be posted at future dates automatically by using MySpace Friend Magic.
