Free Password Manager
I become too overwhelm in remembering too many usernames and passwords. I need one specific username and password for my WordPress blog, another for email account, web hosting and FTP account, BlogCatalog, MyBlogLog, social bookmark sites, and a lot more. The list of passwords is endless!
You also felt irritated if you forgot a password and received this message, didn’t you?

Yes, I can retrieve the password and have it reset but it takes times even hours before I receive the new password.
Using the same username and password for the sake of simplicity is not wise idea either. In fact it’s not safe and very risky! So I begin to research for free password manager.
Here are some of the available free password manager:
-
Robo Form.
RoboForm is the top-rated Password Manager and Web Form Filler that completely automates password entering and form filling. RoboForm was named PC Magazine Editor’s Choice, and CNET Download.com’s Software of the Year. RoboForm is very easy to use and very secure. -
KeePass Password Safe.
KeePass is a an open-source password manager that helps you to manage your passwords in a secure way. You can put all your passwords in one database that is locked with one master password so you only have to remember one single master password to unlock the whole database. -
KeyWallet.
KeyWallet is a free password manager application that’s browser independent.
Among these choices, my preference is Robo Form for it offers free upgrade (great for security update) and there’s fast support!
I wonder if you also have problem with too many passwords?

Personally, I don’t need a password manager. Mozilla does a wonderful job at remembering them, and between operating system reinstalls, I just backup my profile, so I can be up and running in no time.
Take KeePass for instance. It’s software for paranoids, not for the average Joe browsing casually. With RoboForm I wasn’t dissapointed, just that I found it overkill for my needs.
Just my two cents

Hi Emir,
Yap, Mozilla FireFox is great for remembering password but I’m afraid for its security. Anyone who has access to your computer can easily get your profile along with the list of passwords.
Therefore critical login and password information (bank, PayPal, etc) should NOT be remembered using FireFox

Thank you very much. Thats what i was looking for for quite a while

Hi Aldian,
I have only used Roboform, but after installing it and running past all my password websites and seeing both the ease of use and extensive otpions to sort passwords/sites I have no need to try any others. I wholly recommend robo form, its free and it works beautifully, enough said!

I use a Mac at home and it comes with a program to manage passwords along with addresses and such when filling in forms. I use Firefox at work and rarely have a problem with it forgetting my info.
I know some people who just create a word document and write all the passwords in a code. Good idea, except that you have to create a code that isn’t easy to break.

I use RoboForm and love it. I made a quick video showing it uses. It saves me around an hour a day.

I’m having problems also remembering my passwords, with too many accounts. I used roboform and it helps a lot. Roboform is great, well, aside from it’s free.

I just got into RoboForm a few weeks ago and I just wish I’d discovered it earlier. It’s been my Password Saviour, No more bits of paper with passwords scribbled down. No turning back for me.
RoboForm Rocks !

I actually love the RoboForm software myself. I use it all of the time and it takes all the menial everyday tasks that I have to perform on my computer daily and shortens them extremely! What once took me fifteen minutes to complete now takes me only one second because RoboForm does the same task with just one click. In fact I wrote a FREE Report about a lot of RoboForm’s capabilities for use that aren’t even touched on in the User’s Manual for RoboForm. You can get that Free Report here:

Mostly I use Firefox for such things, but the saving in plain text leaves a bad feeling…
