Free Traffic From YouTube and Google Video
Hi, I’m sorry for the delay. This is the 6th article of the Top 10 Free Traffic Generation.
YouTube, which owned by Google, is undoubtedly has massive traffic being in Alexa traffic rank 4.
So the idea here is getting viewers of the popular videos from your relevant niche and topic to visit your site. Here’s what I was taught by my mentor, Stephen Pierce, to tap some of this juicy YouTube traffic:
- Find at least 10 videos of your relevant topic or niche that have active threads, comments or subscribers.
- Place a comment with a link back to your sites.
The problem is that YouTube doesn’t allow active link or even http addresses in the comments. Your comment can’t be submitted if there’s something like http://yourdomain.com. Hence you have to be creative and rewrite your links, i.e:
- http://yourdomain . com
- www dot yourdomain dot com
This solves the problem in writing your link in your comment but it gives another problem: how to track the traffic coming from YouTube? Since YouTube viewers must copy, paste and rewrite your link in their web browsers, they are counted as “direct traffic” by Google Analytics.
You can try to isolate YouTube traffic by directing its traffic to your mirror site. For example you can use your sub domain.

What a wonderful blog you have here. Also you mentioned you know a natural way to get rid of mosquitos. My readers and myself would very much value if you would share that with us.

Welcome to Bright Beginning! Greenearth.
I asked you if you know how to get rid mosquitoes naturally. I only know Evodia suaveolens and have about 40 of them at home but they’re not so effective and I dislike their smells.

Thanks for the great tip, that’s definitely a creative way to get the job done

Hey Spicy, welcome to Bright Beginning!
Your blog has many television and video reviews so I’m sure you’ll benefit from YouTube free traffic

Even better, if you have a term that’s hard to rank for you can upload a video matching those terms to youtube, link out to your site, and build backlinks for that page, since it’ll be easier to get that page to the top considering youtube has major authority. That also goes for a lot of other sites that let you upload content that have authority. That way you’ll be getting traffic from that video while building backlinks for your own site without losing too much time.

Very true Palm Coast, especially considering that YouTube is PR8 and owned by Google.
