A New Beginning
Everything must have a new beginning and this is how mine begins.
It’s very simple: I hate working in the office, meeting with my clients to make sales, and getting caught for hours in Jakarta’s traffic jam. In fact I am a lazy person who doesn’t like to wake up early in the morning. And the most important of all, I want to spend most of my time with my wife, Hera and my 7-month-old boy, Dhava.
I’m a firm believer of Tony Buzan’s Brain Child where I believe the first five years of a child’s life is the most important period of his life. He must be nurtured, taught and guided to bring his creativity, smartness, healthiness and happiness to the fullest. But how can I do this if I have to work 8 to 5 in the office?
Luckily I learnt about passive income from Robert Kiyosaki where he taught that we can make money without working by having a business or investing. Oh yes, I even learnt property investing from Dolf de Roos. Unfortunately creating a new business or investing takes a lot time, effort and capital with little ROI which I can’t afford. Then I learnt about guerilla entrepreneur from Jay Conrad Levinson, but still, there’s some works that I must do myself. I say to myself, “These are definitely not for me.”
Finally my wife and I attended World Internet Summit 2006 in Singapore. To be honest we’re very skeptical and not convinced that we can make money on the Internet. However after watching Ewen Chia and Jo Han Mok’s live challenge where they made $ 60K+ in less than four days (that was even during Thanks Giving long weekend), we’re convinced that we can make money on the Internet. And in this last two weeks we made about $203.60 on the Internet! Not bad for newbie I say?
I truly admit that it’s very confusing in the beginning. I don’t know where and how to start so I just try, try, try and get going. Always test and adjust for better result. And FOCUS!

Also, it really helps to have mentors, friends and tools to shortcut the learning curve and make money faster. I’m really fortunate to be able to learn from Stephen Pierce and Michael Cheney. I’m also very happy to be friends with Andrew Wee and other fellow Warriors who become my source of inspirations. And the best of all, I’m very very fortunate to have my wife who supports me 1,000% and my 7-month old boy who is my source of motivation and courage.
With God’s blessing and our own perseverance, I earnestly believe everything is possible.
