The Truth : Internet Marketing Is Not Get Rich Quick Scheme
One of my readers wrote and asked me,
Aldian, I thought I can make money immediately, but now I knew its a very time consuming process. So, can you let me know if there is any good method which you might have followed to start generating money immediately because article marketing and developing my own blog consumes a lot of time and I am really having a bit of problem with money at the moment?
So here’s the truth: Internet marketing is not get rick quick scheme!
The Internet gurus tell you the truth when they say that they make millions of dollars. Very often they earned hundreds of thousands dollars just hours after they released their products. But they neglect to tell you that was the end result of years of hard and diligent work.
You don’t believe me? Let’s take a few case studies here.
John Chow
John Chow is one of the professional bloggers that I admire and I read his blog on regular basis. He started his blog on December 5, 2005 to post his miscellaneous ramblings. He made zero in the beginning.
Can you believe that John Chow wrote this in one of his first posts? As you know now, his blog is heavily monetized!
While JohnChow.com is advertising free and doesn’t make me any money, there are countless blogs out there that do make income for their owners.
John Chow wrote that statement in his January 28, 2006.
Let’s move forward to September 2006 where John Chow decided to try a little experiment to see if it was possible to make money by blogging. Yes, he made $352.94 from Google AdSense that month! It’s 10 months after he started his blog.
Let’s move forward again to September 2007. John Chow made $20,512.17 from his blog during that month. It’s almost 2 years after he started his blog.
If someone would have told me in September 2006 that a year from now, the blog would make over $20,000 a month, I wouldn’t have believed it.
Ewen Chia
Ewen Chia is a well-known super affiliate. He made $34,004.76 in just 7 days and $1,162,361.49 (more than a million dollars) in less than 5 months selling other people’s products!
Cynthia told me that Ewen worked hard for 6 years before he made it.
Ewen was an employee of SingTel, a Singaporean telecommunication company. He arrived home at 8 p.m. from work every night, rested, took shower and had dinner. Then from 9 p.m. until about 2 a.m. he did his stuff in front of his computer. He slept less than 4 hours every night and barely had time for family.
It was hard and tiring work. Until finally Ewen Chia becomes a well-known super affiliate.
So you now believe me that Internet marketing is not get rich quick scheme?

This is so true. Internet marketing is not a easy way to success for everyone. However, I don’t think it’s a get rich slow method either. I have made a lot of money with internet marketing, although I didn’t get rich in a couple of months like some scam artist claim they have.
